Abstrakt: The article presents the authors' comments on a report of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) which is related to osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ). The authors say that ONJ has been increasingly suspected to be a potential complication of bisphosphonate therapy. They add that a task force was appointed to address key questions related to case definition, risk factors, diagnostic imaging, clinical management, and future areas for research related to the disorder.
