The article focuses on the changes in the textile machinery industry since the year 2001 with China's accession to the World Trade Organization and the organization's ending of the Agreement on Textiles and Clothing in the year 2004. The textile and clothing exports of China, Turkey and Pakistan are explored. Global shipments of short-staple spindles, open-end rotors, spinning machinery and circular-knitting machines are detailed. Smaller developing countries' textile exports are examined. |
