Abstrakt: |
In this paper, we introduce the halfium particle (Ha) as a new molecular reference system for the study of electronic states of molecular hydrogen. For this fictive quantum system, we solve the Schrödinger equation, calculate its Born-Oppenheimer adiabatic potential curves and define a set of Ha quantum defects. The comparison of Ha and standard H2 quantum defects, gives a new insight on the electronic correlation effects in molecular hydrogen. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
