The article focuses on the debate of whether Theatre Museum Canada in Toronto, Ontario should embrace the virtual museum option. There is a strong resistance from some of the directors to the suggestion that the museum forsake the traditional artifact-filled building in favor of computer screen images. Proponents of the virtual museum feel that capitalizing on this technology is their only hope. On the other hand, the opponents believe that a museum without three-dimensional artifacts is neglecting its prime objective to save and preserve its theatrical heritage. |
