Abstrakt: The article discusses the author's visit to India and learning Indian cooking. She recalls her first visit to India in 1987. She returned to visit her friend who accompanied her to Delhi where the traditional food has Muslim influences of nuts, cinnamon and yogurt. She and her friend were invited to celebrate the Hindu holiday of Dussehra with a family.
