The article presents quotes from physicians on how they handle patient requests to travel abroad for certain medical procedures. Charles W. Yowell states that no patient asked for it because of the high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) at Duke University and other super centers where people can ask for second opinions. Samuel Chan noted that he had no patients who wants to go elsewhere because they offer HIFU for prostate cancer. Gary M. Stack stressed that he never recommends such actions. |
