Abstrakt: Thermodynamic analyses performed in the present work show that the process of the water vapour oxidation of molybdenum sulphide concentrates can be efficient. The calculations indicate a temperature of 900–1000°C and a mass ratio of water vapour to concentrate (H2O/MoS2) of 6–8 as the optimum conditions for complete desulphurisation of molybdenum concentrate with the recovery of entire molybdenum and rhenium in the solid product and selenium and tellurium in the gas phase.
