Abstrakt:	The first procedure for the synthesis of novel bisarylmethylidenes of cyclohex-2-enone structures is described at room temperature using a mild medium consisting of anhydrous zinc bromide and triethylamine. Several compounds of this class are synthesized conveniently and rapidly. Spectroscopic and X-ray diffraction experiments confirm the proposed structures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
