The article focuses on the factors affecting gas-evolution rates from cores in contact with aluminum. According to research, the core-metal contact area and metal temperature chiefly control the gas evolution rate. However, the core age and core modulus have substantial effects, including: lower gas volumes were produced by older cores; higher metal temperatures accelerate the rate and volume of gas produced; and core permeability has no effect on the volume or rate of gas formation. |
