| Abstrakt: | The article provides an information on foreign trade and payments for 2007 in Hungary. The data from the Central Statistical Office showed a growth in exports by 16.8% year on year in January to June of 2007 while imports increased by 13.6%. The current account deficit reduced to 4.8% of gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2007 from 5.8% GDP in 2006. The foreign direct investment has fallen sharply to 481 million euros in the first quarter. |
