Abstrakt:	The article reports that stress may play a role in the development of periodontal diseases. The said finding is based on the result of several studies which shows a positive relationship between periodontal diseases and psychological factors such as stress, distress, anxiety, depression, and loneliness. According to study author Daiane Peruzzo, more research is still needed to determine the definitive relationship between stress and periodontal diseases.
