The article states that the works of artist John Garrett reflects his personal experiences. The artist's works are diverse and difficult to categorize. According to the author, Garrett has a facility for identifying the beauty of potential in raw and cast-off materials. Most of the time he uses nontraditional or ordinary materials in his artwork. The author states that the artist believes that used things have their own past, history as well as sense of memory. He has a deep interest in the visual quality of the material such as patterns, colors and structures. |
