Abstrakt: The article presents how the philosophy of Sewall Wright concerning the understanding of complex genetic systems, known as panpsychic population, logically motivated his 1914-1921 design of path analysis. It is emphasized that Wright has observed a hierarchical dependence of the organism's phenotype about dynamic networks of genetic interaction and organization when he did Mendelian breeding experiments. The method of path coefficient or path analysis, which he developed was explained.
