The article presents the findings of a study which investigated baseline characteristics of patients starting biphasic insulin aspart 30 (BIAsp 30) and its efficacy for treatment of type 2 diabetes conducted in China, Japan and Poland. The subjects were patients given insulin± oral anti-diabetics (OAD), OADs alone or had not received any previous treatment. Common reasons for using BIAsp 30 included improvement of fasting blood glucose and post-prandial blood glucose. |
