Abstrakt:	The article reviews the various musical recordings released by Charles Gounod in the late 1800s. Featured operatic titles include "Faust," "Le Medecin Malgre Lui," Mireille," "Sapho," La Colombe," and "Romeo et Juliette." The author reviews the performances of Gounod, offers information on his theatrical career, as well as comparing his professional achievements against other artists, including Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner.
