The article reports on the plan of China to undertake further relations with countries in the Middle East and Africa region. The interest is reportedly due to China's need of firm alliances with oil-producers and of instituting a strategic petroleum reserve. Through dealing with these regions, it is anticipated that China could continue to address its increasing oil demand. In return, Iraq's warm relations with China could allegedly cool down Iraq's relation with the U.S. |
