The Werewolf in Medieval Icelandic Literature!

Abstrakt: The article focuses on the werewolf stories in Iceland during the Medieval period. Among the 14 indigenous sources of werewolf motif in Iceland are "Gylfaginning," "Gibbons saga," and "Sagan af Porsteini glott." According to Einar Ól. Sveinsson, the Icelandic werewolf sagas are divided into two categories, one of which is characterized by the innate ability of shape-shift. In the medieval Icelandic literature, the word hamr is used in reference to men changing their form.
