The article provides an economic and political outlook for Croatia from 2007-2008. Forecast says that with the parliamentary election in November 2007, post-election attempts at coalition-building are likely to determine whether the next government is led by the centre-right, ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) or by the main opposition party, the centre-left Social Democratic Party (SDP). The country's real gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to increase in the first quarter of 2007. |
