Abstrakt: |
The article reports on the effect of confinement on properties and characteristics of alkali-silica reaction (ASR) gel. It is noted that ASR can evolve between certain types of aggregates and the cement paste, leading to cracks in concrete. The study investigated how steel microfibers can create confinement of the resulting ASR gel and underlines the effect of confinement on formation and characteristics of the ASR gel. |
