The article discusses the basic concepts and factors influencing cardiac remodeling and heart failure progression. It focuses on the right ventricular remodeling which includes basic changes in geometry, wall thickness and ventricular pressure-volume relationships. The article also provides preventative strategies against right ventricular remodeling including pharmacological agents and ventricular assist devices. |
