Investigates the effect of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) to cytosolic calcium concentration ([Ca2+]i) in pancreatic islet beta cells in rats. Dual modulation of the beta cell [Ca2+]i by the cAMP-signaling pathway and a physiological incretin; Increasing reducing effects of cAMP by [Ca2+]i at elevated glucose. |
