Abstrakt: The article focuses on developments in the economic policies in Kuwait from 2006 to the first quarter of 2007. The country's economy is wholly dependent on revenue from overseas sales of crude oil and state control of the sector means that oil income averages over 90% of government revenue: it was 94% in 2006-2007. Meanwhile, there was a rise of 20.4% in government's spending over the period, which amounted to 8.26 billion Kuwaiti dinar.
