Abstrakt: The article presents a speech by C. B. Gibbs, staff of the Applied Psychology Research Unit of the Medical Research Council, delivered during the Twelfth International Congress of Applied Psychology in London, England in July 1955. He discusses the significance of engineering psychology in the advancement of working tools and technologies invented by human beings. He further highlights the scale and scope of psychology in contributing to the highly specialized crafts of tool-making.
