The article advises golf course managers how to convince golf club members to support tree removal programs. The emotional reaction many people have to the subject is acknowledged. The tree clearing program undertaken by the Oakmont golf course in preparation for the 2007 U.S. Open is taken as a role model. Managers are urged to present detailed studies of their plans, to Photoshop images of the course after tree removal, and to cite the many famous courses which have removed trees. |
