The article presents the authors' views on the recently signed free trade agreement between 5 Central American states and the Dominican Republic with the U.S. The impact of the treaty was assessed in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. According to the authors, the treaty will make the region especially attractive for investors who wish to take advantage of its strategic location. The authors say, the agreement with intellectual property laws will now include enforcement provisions. |
