The article discusses a comparative analysis between ultraviolet (UV) light and high-heat sterilization using the MCO-18AIC-UV CO2 incubator from Sanyo Electric Biomedical Co. Ltd. Typical incubator contaminants are cited including bacteria, yeast and mold. Some of the cyclical decontamination procedures that should be resisted by high-heat incubators are tackled. Moreover, the efficacy of UV sterilization system is also discussed. |
