The article provides an overview of asset and mortgage backed financing activity for the first quarter of 2007 in the U.S. The student loan sector came in second as the most productive asset class in the first quarter, taking the place of automobile performance. The issuance of real estate in the first quarter reached $23.44 billion compared with the $11.17 billion in the fourth quarter of 2006. However, the issuance of automobile declined in the first quarter. |
