The article discusses the main points extracted from the "World Development Report 1993: Investing in Health" issued by the World Bank. They include the emphasis on the economic aspects of health, the suggestion to look beyond the health sector for the answers to many of the problems of disease, and the identification of certain challenges for the future. The report's significance for mental health and the treatment of common mental health disorders are discussed. |
