| Abstrakt: | Between one third and one half of schizophrenic patients appear to benefit from treatment with lithium carbonate. An even higher proportion of schizo-affective patients benefit, some showing complete recovery. Current unfavourable views on the use of lithium in schizophrenia are contested.
