Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study that investigates the similarities and differences of psychiatric diagnosis of hospitals in North Carolina, London and Glasgow. The study involves selection of patients, filming of diagnostic interviews, choice of diagnostician and provision of clinical data. Based on the given data, the researchers found major differences in the utilization of diagnostic categories such as greater use of neurotic by North Carolina psychiatrists, greater use of personality disorder by the Glasgow psychiatrists and greater use of manic depressive by both Great Britain groups of diagnosticians. |
