The article discusses the study on hand and eye dominance in schizophrenia. One author indicated that a disturbance of lateral balance may be present in schizophrenia of which may be depicted in the hand dominance. The study included 70 men and 70 women who were diagnosed as schizophrenic and with no cerebral insult. They were evaluated through some tests of which the hand and the eye were dominant. The study showed two positive findings, first, when hand and eye dominances were put as separate factors, the patient group seems to be among the normal population, yet, when they were combined, they appear different from the normal group. |
