Abstrakt: The article presents an assessment of the physical, emotional and intellectual state of seventy nine cerebral aneurysm survivors. They underwent neurological and psychometric examination as well as psychiatric interviewing to elicit their previous personalities and changes after the illness. Findings reveal that fifty two of them were neurologically unimpaired after the follow-up, while forty four returned to their previous work. Sixty six of them were treated by proximal occlusion of the anterior cerebral artery that is responsible for aneurysm. In several instances, the patients and informants both agreed a personality change for the better.
