| Abstrakt: | The author reflects on the state of child care services in Great Britain. He speculates on how to determine whether the promotion of change for child care is apparently for the good. The relative merits of residential care and substitute family or foster care is cited to illustrate the issue. He also tackles changes in policies and in attitudes for children and their families, which he finds to be lacking of direct benefit to children. |
