Abstrakt: | The article presents a study regarding the differences in both verbal and nonverbal modes of communication between patients with depressive and other neurotic disorders and their spouses. The study employed 10 depressed patients and their spouses and 11 surgical patients and their spouses selected according to the diagnosis by a hospital psychiatrist from a psychiatric unit in a general hospital. It was found that there are several differences in both verbal and nonverbal modes of communication between psychiatric patients and their spouses and surgical patients and their spouses. |
