Abstrakt: | The article focuses on a study designed to expose the validity of the distinction between anxiety stress states and depressions. The investigation is based on a study of 66 patients with anxiety states and 45 patients with depressive illness admitted to the psychiatric hospitals. They were followed up over an average period of 3 to 8 years. The distinction between anxiety stress and depression was done by ascertaining which of the features observed during the presentation of illness both in anxiety states and depressive illness were related to outcome by calculating weights proportionate to their predictive value. |
