Abstrakt: The article focuses on a training program conducted in the U.S. for paraprofessionals who are engaged in mental health services. The need for trained workers delivering social service drove the creation of the Adolescent Service Organization (ASO). The ASO has several goals including the diversion of troubled adolescents from criminal justice system and the supplementation of temporary housings for its clients. However, ASO's budget did not suffice the employment of its social workforce. As the solution, two consultation programs were developed. Because of the initial program's failure, four significant factors were also identified and discussed.
