The article presents a research concerning the prediction of socially maladaptive behavior within a state prison system in the U.S. The study aims to determine the variables within a broad battery of psychological measures related to the incidence of socially maladaptive behavior within the system. Specific personality dimensions as well as their implications are identified and discussed in the study. A battery of tests was administered to inmates selected based on high and low disciplinary reports frequency. This measure was undertaken to identify the psychological measures predictive of nonconforming and neglectful behavior within a prison setting. |
