The article presents a case study of a 13-year-old white boy diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) type VIII. EDS VIII is an autosomal dominant condition similar to the classical type with the addition of premature periodontal disease. The diagnosis of this disease should always begin with a thorough family and personal history besides the physical examination. |
