The article presents a study on the identification of herpes simplex virus (HSV) genomic DNA in human spermatozoa of patients having fertility disorders by using the in situ hybridization (ISH) method. Several methods used in the study include the ISH to detect the HSV DNA, the immunofluorescence method (IFM) to detect virus proteins, and the rapid culture method (RCM) to determine the infectious activity of HSV. The study reveals that the HSV DNA is observed within the heads of spermatozoa. |
