The article presents a case report on the causes of the prune belly syndrome and VACTERL-complex combination from an underveloped country. It highlights the case history of a 24-year old woman who was being referred to the antenatal clinic because of excessive weight gain in her 23rd gestational week. It states that the woman was in malaria prophylaxis and iron preparation during the examination, and was advised to terminate pregnancy. A discussion of the case was followed after the examination. |
