Are the immediate complications of conisation with the large loop similar to those with the knife?

Abstrakt:	One hundred patients underwent conisation with large loop excision of the transformation zone. The overall immediate complication rate was 6%. There were no preoperative complications. Three patients were treated with antibiotics for infection and three patients had a secondary haemorrhage. No patient required a blood transfusion or cervical suturing and no patient returned to the operating theatre. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
