Abstrakt: The article discusses the use of randomized controlled trial studies in muscle reconditioning programs that are designed to enhance muscle performance. Studies discussed include those that focused on treating sarcopenia and muscle reduced performance in the elderly, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, renal insufficiency, and peripheral arterial disease. Other studies on muscle reconditioning programs to enhance the performance of pelvic floor muscles in order to treat urinary incontinence in women are discussed.
