The article presents the author's views towards the comments made by Sidney Moglewer, a member of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission concerning his article. He explains that his intension was to make it clear that the prime political value of Non-Proliferation Treaty safeguards was to provide a reasonable assurance that one's own country was not engaged in making nuclear weapons, and demonstrate one's own peaceful commitment and thereby contribute to international security. |
