The article presents information on the Technology and East-West Trade report released by the Office of Technology Assessment, Congress of the United States. The report has 11 chapters that start with a summary and continue with a review of current U.S. policy proposals. The report is designed to encourage East-West trade and technology transfer. The implications of East-West trade relations on the economic, foreign, and military policy of the United States are addressed in the report. The report also focuses on western technology in the Soviet Union and China. |
