| Abstrakt: | The article presents four ideas for motivating students in the classroom, contributed by a graduate student and first-grade teacher. Activities focus on increasing children's reading fluency and identification of sight words, teaching the solar system through an interdisciplinary activity, and geology. All lessons include methods for involving parents and community in the learning process. |
