The Family Farm Ideology, the Baltic Countries, and Theories of Development.

Abstrakt: The article presents a theoretical research perspective into the privatization of agriculture in Baltic countries. The objective of Baltic republics is to replace collective farms with a Western system of family farms. Information on the agricultural and land property system in the region is provided. The emergence of capitalism and social patterns of development in Baltic countries is also discussed. The family farm ideology and the condition of the peasant state is mentioned. It also offers a look at the family farming system as the central ideology of the post-socialist countries.
