The article discusses the prevalence of cystic fibrosis in Russia. Moscow itself is said to produce approximately 30 children with CF per year. It is reported that most cases of CF are undiagnosed in Russia. The reason for a very high profile genetic research in the country is cited. The prognosis of the disease is also reported. |
