Abstrakt: The article presents information on the price difference of Microsoft Corp.'s operating system (OS) Windows Vista in Australia and the United States. Depending on the version, the Vista OS in Australia is 1.91 times more expensive than in the U.S. Another OS, Windows XP was 1.66 times more expensive in Australia than in the U.S. An official at Microsoft Australia Windows, Jeff Putt said that the U.S. estimated retail price does not include tax, while the Australian one does. Putt also told customers to get value added services like product exchange, local market warranty conditions, and local returns, and other benefits while purchasing the product from a local retailer.
