The article offers a political outlook for Oman for 2007-2008. In the domestic politics, it reports that the political power structures are likely to remain stable. It adds that ruling sultan Qaboos bin Said al-Said still commands a degree of support across the country. Preparations for the 2007 election to the Consultative Council are under way with efforts to raise public interest and participation levels. The country is seeking to improve relations with its nearer neighbors. |
