Abstrakt: The article describes the population distribution and zoonotic potential of gastrointestinal helminths in a naturally infected population of wild rats in Jamaica. 130 of the 437 rats captured were infected. Nine species of gastrointestinal helminths were recovered. The single risk factor identified was predicted for infection.
